Hi Boics , mate i hate wiring as you can see , easy does it but do it and i do it the easiest way , nothing wrong with hook and hold it does the job required . These are very brittle so normal wiring just makes for breaks .

Hi Bodhi , its the only trunk i have here to do the pot justice . Looks a bit like a little mame /shohin size bonsai although the pots is 500-550mm in diameter and 210mm high . Thanks to Mr Bougy Fan for the opportunity to own it . Personally delivered on a recent visit , its nice to put a face to a Name . I hope to get around and do the same one day .

Hi Damian Bee , very little happening underground but it only just the start of the growing season . Mate i'm trussed up , strapped up , but not laid up yet . Getting plenty of help , need more in the Professional arena but that too takes time .

I just wanted to thank you for the progression of this tree. Its great for less experienced members to see just how you've gone about the process. It is great to keep a photo journal of the progress. Awesome trunk and lovely development of the branches on a garden plant!
I have seen one of the experienced members of our group use packing twine to lay a basic grid across the top of the soil and then pull branches down with these as the anchor point. It liked rather odd, like a crazy spiders web effect but it got the job done, and less expensive than using wire.

Hi Stewart , mate anything goes as long as it works . I have klms of old SEC wire so its not an issue using it to make a grid . There is a lot of Pro's who use hook and hold with fishing line , less unsightly , but that too takes more time . If i had 20 tree's i wouldn't be done this way , or a team of helpers i could kick up the butt and make them do it right . Its been a ripper project , now i can say i still own my first bonsai , in the making of course .

Hi Dario , mate its not out of the woods yet , not much happening underground .Its good to see the new shoots appear but I have one here continually dieing back and refusing to grow new roots !!!.

Hi Josh , mate its not a trunk anymore just 1 shoot at the base .Way too hot over the last summer so its a right off .

Mate that is a real shame. Was a fantastic tree in the making. That's bonsai though I guess, you win some you loose some.

Well at list you can call me a God mother now....
I have one also that I chopped so it is misbehaving also...might join yours in heaven. Shot so many shoots, and they started drying slowly.
