Hi everyone

I am planning on air layering a large 3 inch branch of this tree does anyone know what it is , is it ok to set a layer so late in the season and remove late winter early spring . also anyone used this type of tree for bonsai .

Im not exactly sure on the species either,or if its the same as yours? This was my first successful airlayer. I done it maybe early september?? and checked it a few weeks ago to find it full of roots

I only wish now i chose a more interesting branch.

Yep Prunus, a cherry plum, common but still pretty, good luck with it!
