I have a care sheet but its rather contradicting.
It was planted in 06 not due for repotting till feb 012, came recently trimmed, watered and fed.
When I bought it the lady said to give it a pinch of phosphate (or was it phosophares?) if I want it to flower or get more green (i cant remember which)
Also is it ok to be inside? It goes outside in the late morning and comes back in in the afternoon (we are very windy here in early morning and later at night) it has well ventilated area and a sunlight directly above.
Thanks from a newbie.

You'll find 100% of the forum all agree that bonsai can be kept in doors if its circulated between inside and out, but you seem to have that under control.

Thats a long time in between potting. If you are in a position to post a photo or two that would be good. Repotting usually takes place every year or two for a young tree.

This helps flowering but it will need fertiliser of a different kind to keep it healthy

.
Not o.k, if you want to bring it in for a day or two to admire it that is alright, but if you keep it inside it will surely suffer. Rule i use is,two days in, two months out.

Hi ya newbie, from a fellow Perth man, Bohdi has given you good information. I will now ask where you bought it what Market? or shop.
Your plant needs as Bohdi said a complete fertilizer to stay healthy. Also he said a young plant needs to be re potted more frequently than that.
Most of my Miniature trees are done once every 12 months some every 6 months. Larger older trees can go for 6 years, deciduous trees more frequently than conifers.
Broadleaf ever greens which is what you have need to be re potted at least every two years.
Being a newbie you will not know what to do, so I suggest you look it up in Wiki. Then get some Bonsai potting mix from one of the two Bonsai nurseries in Perth.
Or PM me and let us see what we can do to help.
Cheers Pup

Thanks for the replys!
I bought it from a lady at fremantle markets it was last repotted in feb this year and trimmed last month.
I have her contact details for help with repotting and any further questions regarding the plant. Figured I would annoy people online with my questions before her LOL
I will have a look at wiki

I am sorry but if it is who I think it is, you were well what can I say, have a look at her website and then look here at what is for sale.
She freely admits when we admonish her, that when people want decent Bonsai she tells them to go to, the Bonsai nurseries or the clubs.
Does that tell you anything.
