Hey guys, this is my large crabapple. I got it from MattA on our forum in late July or early August of last year. I haven't taken any measurements but I will soon.
It's definitely big :P
Here is a pic from the original for sale thread

Now I didn't do much with it for th first 12months except give it a bit of a prune every now and then. I couldn't repot, even though it probably needed it, because it burst into leaf very quickly in it's new climate.
I repotted it in probably August, maybe Very early September, this year. I took some photos, but can't find them at the moment. I will upload then when I do.
As you can see by the following pics, i have reduced the height a fair bit. I think it still needs to be reduced more. I also gave it a real heavy prune. This was on December 17th. It's now got alot of new leaf bugs, but also flower buds.
I guess I am not 100% sue where I am going with it yet. But at least it's a start!

And I found one from Summer last year after a defoliation

I remember this one Nathan. I didn't end up buying it due to problem with shipping. I'm glad that you bought it mate.
About thoughts...I would air layer it. I got a similar one soon after you bought this one. Did a total of 4 air layers (Took roots so easily). Now I got 4 nice trees and a good stump for a broom design. Would be interested in how you go about this this mate. Keep updated.
Cheers
