Plum under attack!

I have two green gage plums, one of which has been seen on this forum recently. The other one, and triple trunk was going along OK (its not a clasic style, but I like it because it flowers, fruits etc) and had about 60 plums on it. Not quite ripe yet so I hadn't planned to pick and eat them, but the white cockies got to the tree first and helped themselves. Now I don't mind sharing, but the big blitters not only take the fruit and also broke off quite a few small branches, especially near the top. They don't eat the fruit, they just take the seed out of the middle. It is amazing how precise they are in removing the seed - I wish they were as precise with leaving the branches alone.
The tree will survive but those branches that I had worked on developing are now gone - back to the drawing board.
I think I'm really looking for a simpathy vote?

Man that sucks! You've got my sympathy vote!!
It looks like it still has plenty to work with though, so you will be able to get it back to it's former glory

I really like it too, even if it isn't conventional.

Nice Tree!
Maybe making a Wire Net to cover it with to protect it?
I have a Similar problem (not with Bonsai), but with bats collecting peaches from the local area and hangin in thegums trees in my backyard to eat them. They drop the seeds all over the grass, and they hurt like hell when you tread on them !
Maybey your Cockies can come and eat the seeds!

That's for the sympathy, I feel better now. Ken, you can have the Cockies any time you like.

I just decided there is not much sympathy here (except for Nathan of course) so I'm off to have a little sulk. When I pick the "left over" plums (the ones the cockies have missed) I'm gunna eat them all myself!
