Hibiscus Progress

ok so i ve been keeping this babe hidden i bought here last year..looking like this

but after potting him and letting him rest found that water was gathering in the v- neck which i knew needed to be dealt with, so i took him
off to my mate for advice and we both got stuck in with idead and tools, torches and came up with this bad boy

to this beauty who is in full bud waiting to flower

I really like its uniqueness....
Over time I would probably extend the hollow most of the way down the trunk, then again...
Does it have small(ish) two tone purple flowers?

Hey Matty,
yeh i was thinking abut the same with cutting the hollow down more as well..the flowers i do not know this will be his/her first year budding

thought you would like to see the progress on the hibiscus she is coming in to flower slowly just hope it not whilst i go away next week lol

I would get some wire onto the new shoots to get them intot he desired locations before they ramify and set in place.
Hibiscus, although soft, does not bend very much once the growth hardens off.
Looks like you are going to have lots of budding over then next few months if you let it. The buds look quite orange too.
It will be interesting to see the colour of them.
