[Swap/Sell] Seeds

I was pruning an Acacia aphylly in the garden the other day and discovered it had set a bit of seed so collected some pods in case anyone needs some. I often pick up seed of interesting and or useful species so thought I should offer some on Ausbonsai.
Other members would be welcome to post any seed they might have to sell, swap or give away. If we can get enough local offers it might slow down the possible introduction of new diseases via imported seed.
For seed from me - $2 for about 20 seeds (maybe more for easily collected species) + $2 postage for small lots
or swap for interesting, rare and unusual seed or plant material.
At the moment I have fresh seed of:
Acacia aphylla
Acacia verniciflua
Allocasuarina verticilliata
Pinus pinea - stone pine
A wide assortment of vege seed, mostly rare and unusual or useful varieties
Seed of various maples and chinese elm will be available in autumn

For a few years i grew heritage veg seed for some of the mail order seed companies and was a member of seedsavers so I have had a huge range in the past. Still lots of containers in the shed but many getting past viable. As I get time and space in the somewhat smaller garden i do germination test on a few batches to see if there's anything still viable
Heres a few that have been grown in the past few years so there's fresh seed that should still be viable:
Bush beans: Romano, Sunray, Magpie butter bean, Black african, Frenchie, Zagreb soldier bean,
Climbing beans: Molly's zebra, Epicure, lazy housewife, Rattle snake, Climbing borlotti, Natural salt bean(aka Lohrey's), Bega 180
Other species climbing beans: Scarlet runner, Snake bean, Lablab
Climbing peas: Telephone, Mill's, Purple pod snowpea,
Bush pea: Lacy lady, Greenshaft
Tomato: Amish paste, Oxheart, Grosse Lisse,
Lettuce: red oak, Royal oak, Digger's red looseleaf, diggers green losseleaf
Broad bean: Early longpod
Rockmelon: Sigapore melon
Gherkin
Pumpkin: Blue Hubbard
Red salad onion
Mustard seed
Basil
Perennial broccoli/ walking stick cabbage (not sure which one I still have, both similar plants)
Also discovered some more containers of non vege seed from last year:
Hibiscus trionum
Variegated ornamental corn (leaves are variegated, maize like cobs, not sweet corn)
Chinese quince

Hibiscus coccineus
Kennedia prostrata
Orthrosanthus multiflorus
Pattersonia occidentalis
Pultenaea linophylla
Rodanther chlorocephala
Tacca integrifolia
I don't have particularly large amounts of some of these seeds so let me know what you are interested in and I will tell you how much I have.

Thanks shibui, some seeds planted already, and wish you the best with yours. All my swaps are still available, getting a pile of tree tubes so would be interested in any native seed now, will try a few big batches.

Fresh seed of a few new varieties just collected:
Quercus suber - Cork Oak - just a few acorns available.
Toona australis(?) - Red cedar - just shed from the tree this week.
Pinus pinea - stone pine - fresh seed collected Feb 2012
Parsnip - very short shelf life. Fresh seed this autumn
Great to hear that you are having some success Greth. Hope they keep going when planted out. That perennial broccoli should grow about 1.5 - 2m tall.

I have a friend who has inherited boxes of native seed, I have only seen a sample yet, but she wants them to go to good homes, and cant really grow much herself.
So heaps of Euc, callitris, various acacia, some melaleuca.. . Ive taken a small sample, enough to grow dozens of trees, this week I will check the boxes and make a list to share. Watch this space, I will post when I know what is in this treasure trove.

Chinese quinces are now ripe and I've extracted some seed for anyone who is interested.Just experimenting with Chinese quince jelly and Chinese quince paste today - seems a shame to just chuck all that fruit away.
Trident maple should also be ripe enough to start harvesting if anyone needs trident seed.
