COROKIA

ive been clipping and growing this for 3 years and im sick of it so last week it got its 1st pot. it has not seen one strand of wire. i love its anguler growth but over how long it takes to thicken up. club sale for this i think.

Hi Antonio,
Is this a type of cotoneaster? If I am not mistaken, it produces tiny bright yellow flowers?

hi viet,i believe its native to NZ. i have not seen any flower or otherwise on this.

Yes - they do get a tiny star shaped yellow flower.

It is native to NZ name Corokia cotoneaster. The common name is Black corokia
It is not of the same family though.The cotoneaster is of the Rosaceae
While the Corokia is of the Cornaceae.
Its natural habit is much like the tortured filbert of the hazelnut tribe or me TWISTED.

I would of thought that that is definitely the wrong tree if you're after a thick trunk. Mind you, that's the thickest Corokia I've ever seen

Yep have to agree. Thickest i have seen to. I have plenty and they all flower. But they grow soooo sloooooowly. Gonna keep it now its flowering ant.?
