Hi Like308 , well done . There's nothing like grow your own material , especially if you have the time to grow it on to maturity . Keep us posted on how they grow .

Cheers Alpineart

Just plain old seedling mix, I think it was Yates brand but I also had some left over which I mixed which I think was amgro seedling mix. either way it was seedling mix straight out of the bag, no preperation. I did use tweezers to poke them about the depth of the seed under the soil, and then lightly covered it (only just though)

No I dont have an auto misting system, I have no idea what is involved with that. can you explain to me what is involved?

Also to update, another 2 have sprouted so that is 10 so far :hooray: :hooray:

Thanks
Luke

Thanks for the heads up :tu: I have laid some snail bait. I should have known as I lost a whole batch of ficus seedlings last year from slugs and snails. They seem to come out of no-where but hopefully they will eat the bait and not my seedlings :fc:

They come with rain and they come with the dew and they come during the night! Sounds ominous but I think it is true. I woke up one dewing morning and five of mine young black pines seedlings were eaten right off. The evening before was dried. I was still able to see the shinny trails they left behind!

Hi Luke

Can I ask how you came by these JBP seeds?

Thanks
