Some new pots I have been experimenting with. They haven't turned out just how I would like them to, but now I know what I need to do, to get the results I want. I was using a different clay.
Lynette I couldn't figure how to put this right side up. So you might have to twist your head a bit. Sorry I was trying to give the impression of a gum that is peeling the bark off and giving various colours to the trunk.

They look great. Good job.

Looks like the start of something great Lynette I love the first one and the last one looks very interesting.

I like the peeling-bark pot - it's abstract enough not to distract from the tree, and it's refined in its colouring. And it means something. It's always exciting to keep chasing an idea that's got legs. (And feet, come to think of it.)

Thanks Paul, I have figured it out now. I got a new camera and the software if quite different.
Pat I here its David Jones and Go lo, at Bonsai by the Harbour, again this year.
Brett. David has done very well building the bridge and Tori gate, considering his building skills (or lack of). We still have a couple of things to go. A fax japenese house to hide the metal shed and a bit of refining to the plants.
I still have a very messy and over full section on the other side of the block. Are you coming to any of the bonsai seminars this year, hope to see you there.

Very nice pots lynette. I think the last one is fantastic, as someone else said, enough happening to make the pot interesting but not enough to distract from the future tree.

Just realised I replied to the wrong thread.
The clay I used was so old Walkers that is no longer in production and I had to rehydrate it. I think I got it too wet and that caused the warping problem.
I have hopping to go to both BBH and Tops, this year.
