Today's sale item is a shohin Japanese white pine on its own roots.

As you may or may not know it is near impossible to find white pines on their own roots whith good movement and good branching. This little pine's bark is beggining to crackle as well which is a sign of its age.

I have just thinned the needles to distribute energy evenly across the tree to ensure an even budding next spring. This is why the upper regions of the tree look more bare than the lower branches. The apex still needs developing, although the framework is already in place.

The tree is healthy and has a great little root base. I has spent part of its life in a tiny bonsai container so if you wanted to re-pot to a smaller container i cannot see you having any problems with it.

This tree has the potential to become a very nice shohin.

It is approx 25cm from the lip of the pot to the top of the tree.
The tree will be available to be picked up at the AABC melbourne convention in May or delivery could be arranged at the buyers cost.

As this type of material is a bit of a rarity in Australia and i am unsure of its dollar value, i will be taking offers over $300.

If you are interested or would like to make an offer please PM me. If it gets anywhere near the interest of the black pine that i just sold then i suggest that you get your offer in quickly as this will sell.

Thanks,

Joe.
