Camellia bending

I have been doing some work on a friends garden & they asked me to remove a large camellia that blocked the window. Instead of removing straight away I got permission to start some work on it & remove it next year. First up was to chop off the two main lines of the trunk leaving just the lowest branch that was roughly parallel with the ground. I didnt know how far it would bend but worst comes it could always be chopped & allowed to reshoot.

The branch is over 2" diameter & as you can see, no longer horizontal. It took 2 people to help pull the branch over the stump while I tightened up the strapping & tied off. It still needs to go further yet but I will do that gradually over the coming year.
