My pot arrived safely today, so I did a quick hack and slash of photos, to show the tree I plan to put in it.. opinions please?

Well done on the virt I personally think the pot is to large and to bold but the tree will remain healthy in it and it will let you work on the styling of the tree. It needs something more delicate to bring out the nature of this tree.

I hear what you are saying bodhi, and might go a different direction one day, although, I must say, i think I got the sizing? of the pictures wrong? the opening of the pot, is approx the same size as the black pot it's in now... but I'l personally like to see more growth on the tree... I started wiring and trying to pull down branches today... hmmm, think I'll cop out and let someone else bend those branches.. one minor crack... I"ve smothered it with cut paste and left it for now...

I also wonder about needing something with a little weight to balance out the length of the tree?? I don't want to have to wire the pot to the bench
