Hi all,
Wondering if any one could help me ID this plant.
Scored it of my Mother but we have no idea what it is.
I am hoping it will make good bonsai and plan to plant to rock or slate top as I think the awsome green colour of this plant would make a great contrast on the stone. Any Ideas app.
cheers, Jesse

Hi again.
Don't think its a succulent as there is no body to the leaves and prob not an escallonia as the leaves seem to be a different shape

.
Thankyou for your replys, keep em' coming

You could be right there Glenda. I'm still unsure but as Its still a very young plant and the leaves do not look as elongated as the plants I've found on the google search

. Guessing the easiest way will be to wait for flower/fruit??

Maybe premna ! There are various varieties but I think most have a not so nice smell when you rub the leaves. They are also called stinky bitch

I seen a plant at the nurseries the other day that reminded me of this thread.
Even though its an old thread I thought I might put this out as a guess. Ceanothus? By the way I know squat about them and I could quite easily be wrong.
The plant I seen was very similar.

Looks like one of the native "Mint" Bushes to me Prostanthera cuneata. Maybe! Click on link below.

think you've got it Hackimoto,
Prostanthera cuneata (Alpine Mint-bush or Rough Mint-bush) is a shrub which is native to south-eastern Australia [2] It has a compact habit, growing to about 1 metre high. The leaves have a rounded apex and cuneate base and are 4 to 5 mm long and 3 to 3.5 mm wide.[2] Flowering are produced from November to April (mid spring to mid autumn) in the species native range. The flowers are solitary and axillary, and clustered toward the end of the stems. They are about 3 to 3.5 mm long and white with multiple purple to red coloured spots in the throat.[2].

Yes I think you maybe correct Hackimoto.
I gave the image and the leaf a quick match and they look very similar.
Thanks for the info I have asked so many peeps, but still had no clue what it was.
Thanks again to all
