When you say make it better, are you referring to improving the soil ? I'm sure many on here will chime in with advice on digging in fertilizer and perhaps some pea straw and let it settle in for a month or so before planting your trees.

Hi 5of5

Very Nice little patch you have there :tu: NOW go out there & get yourself a big heap of Chook, Sheep, Cow & or Horse Poo & dig it in & every two week's dig the soil over till the start of spring so that the Poo break's down & then just before you plant your tree's in there at the start of spring go grab a big bag of blood & bone & throw a few hand full's over it then dig it in, then stick what ever you like in there & stand back & I do mean stand back & watch them grow,   PS keep us up to date with the progress

Follow above advice for soil improvement and WIN.
Other than that, the only way I see to improve it is to plant Junipers and Black Pines instead ;)

Hi Fiveoffive , nice start to bigger things and things will get bigger in there . Dont pop that Elm in there , it might take over the plot , and then you will have "lost the plot" and will need another .Cant wait to see it planted out .

Cheers Alpine
