Sometimes I think Walter's unique family has caught up with him

But I would still sit in the front row in his class room

It is always great watching Walter but I have to say for a bonsai Academy that is meant to be an advanced class. After 7 videos the only thing I have learnt is that a too large nebari can be offset by a large crown and I think I kinda knew even that already?
Oh and that large nebari are now out of fashion
Looks like Sebastian is getting ready for when shohin are out of fashion.
Does anyone have oriental hornbeam. I do

I was wondering about trident maples' large nebari and fashion also. I am not sure about fashion, but I could never understand the rationality behind massive and short trident maples' bonsai.
I have seen suburban trident maples' with large surface roots like that. But they are also very tall, and slender and old, and with a equally impressive apex to match. That is,
naturalistic?
