Just repotted this guy today, was really harsh on the root prune I reckon more than 80%, experiment no.2 wonder how robust the tree is, will update on it's progress.

G'day Ben, its better to repot natives during the warm weather here in Victoria, I generally start doing mine late november, december when the night temps. start to come up. Root pruning natives in the cold weather can be fatal

Thanks for the reply, I admit that I am being impractical repotting so close to winter, but I was sick of seeing this tree in a 200mm plastic pot taking up so much space for it's small size, hence the repot, it'll be interesting to see how it will fair throughout winter, i've heard agoniss's are quite hardy??? oh yeah I almost forgot, it was a good thing I got it out of that pot too, cos the nursery mix was so bad that the bottom of the pot was all water logged, and there was some whit eggs of some sort in there too!!!!! I just think I should've held back on the root prune though. Oh well we will see if it survives.

btw how's the trees looking craigw, hope to come around soon and take those photo's, been busy with work and all!!!

check out these new trees i bought they're in wine barrels ones a Tasmanian Blue Gum and the other ones a Ficifolia, im gonna have to look for a too big for bonsai, bonsai pot!!!!
