evening Forumers,

thought i would share a purchase with you...my first pics upload-hooray for me!!
i got this at a bargain basement price after reading some much experienced advice...i kept reading that if a plant "stands out or talks to you", even if its a pig of a plant then its worth it, and well this one stood out to me.
Next step is to head off to local bonsai club for advice and guidance...but am more than happy to hear from the experienced folk in the room about what you would do to it etc... thanks in advance

great pic up Angus. if you want to keep them as a forest planting, a couple of thing I would suggest. 1. cut them off at an height to suit the trunk thickness of each tree. ( I have numbered each tree 1-4. no.4 being the thickest trunk should be the tallest tree and work your way down to the thinnest and shortest) 2. no.4 tree being the thickest and tallest should be the focal point of a forest compesition. (it needs to be moved towards the front and centre) 3. the shorter and thinner trees towards the back and outsides of the forest.
I've done a few verts to give you a better idea. don't do any thing until after winter. chris

Chris thanks for the advice and pics to match, super helpful!! It does have access to the greenhouse over winter, or should I just use now until spring/summer to fertilise and strengthen?

just keep them watered Angus, not much point fertilizing over winter, even figs dont do much. a bit of seaweed solution wouldn't hurt. don't want to do much until the night time temps get up to 10 degree C and you can see the figs pushing new growth. Half of what it takes to grow bonsai is patience.
