Hi,

Thought i'd post some pics of my bench so far.....

Piles of 40 x 70mm treated pine....with a few coats of decking oil.

Shelves went together first.....1.5m wide didnt seem so bad on paper..... :lost: :lost: :lost:

No help from this guy.....again.

Somewhat assembled, 3m long, 1.5m wide, 2m tall.

Still alot more angle brackets to be installed, Diagonal bracing across the back and sides, some extra legs at the front, bolt the roof on lol:

After the frame is bolted together, and in place I'll use decking pine for the shelves and enclose the whole thing using shade cloth.

To be continued...

Don't take this the wrong way Velvet, I get that it is 1.5m wide, but I was wondering when you have bonsai below on the bottom shelf can you easily reach over them to get at the ones on the centre of the top shelf when standing directly infront?
Will the frame be positioned up against the fence, or will you have rear access?
Most likely I have it all wrong and you can reach them easily...just checking though?
Once again, I applaud your work!
Cheers, Dario.

Good eyes Dario, where its sitting now isnt where it'll be once finish, i have to level the ground and lay pavers down before it can go in place.
I'm 6,2' and with the aid of a milk crate i can reach the shelf from the front, and there will alot of space to move trees out of harms way.
