Azalea Flowering?

Hi Guys,
Is it normal for an azalea to start flowering at this time of year? A few of my flower buds have begun to open. I am in Sydney so I would have thought this was early. I can post a photo later if required.

Hi dbar7738 , there's a lot of confusion in Mother Nature this last season . Mine have flowered and are beginning to bud up and open again .Most have been removed from the garden for potential Bonsai , the one's in flower will remain for a little while , then be be-headed and removed .
Cheers Alpineart .

I have got many Azalease with a few flowers in the too. Not that unusual for them to spot flower all year, but seems we have quite a few more than usual tho
Must be the weather

Thanks guys!
I have read that the warm May weather we have had here in Sydney as well as the coolish summer has caused them to be a little confused! Lol.

Most Kurume Azaleas and Azalea cultivars spot flower from autumn until their main flush in spring. The exception being Satsuki and Gumpos and Molis Azaleas which flower from October sometimes nearly through to December.
