Hi Scott,
I'm flattered by your question, as I am by Antal posting the pot pics.
I am a resident of Melbourne, in 3 local bonsai clubs, BSV, BNW, and NSBC. I was once an English teacher, a hobby potter for a long time, but finally, having retired, have more time to devote to it. I make other stuff than just bonsai pots, love all pottery, and have just recently started selling some bonsai pots. So far I sell at club meetings, or on club sale days.

I'm a great fan of Pat Kennedy's pots, have a few, and have been to visit him. He kindly shared some techniques with me, but I won't be likely to out-compete him on his style of pot.

I have a potters wheel, and a small electric kiln. But those pots Antal bought were fired in my teacher's gas kiln.
I've bought a very old gas kiln, but not yet got it connected. Can't yet find a gas fitter who'll do it. Needs to be Class B, or something. Can't even find out properly what I need to get done. When it's up and running, I'll be firing bigger pots and more often, I hope. If anyone out there is, or knows, a class b gasfitter, in Melbourne, please make contact.
Cheers,
Val
