Scientific name: Syzygium autrale 'Compacta'

Common name: Dwalf Lilly Pilly

Age: 15 years

training started: September 2010

Style: Broom style

Hight: 56cm Width: 49cm Trunk diametre: 8cm

this tree was given to me for a demonstration at our club's September 2010 meeting. It was bought from a nursery which specialized in landscaping. It was about 100cm tall in a 450mm pot. At that meeting I gave it a quick trim and style. In september 2011 I potted it up. At this point, I found I had made a mistake when I originally styled the tree. I asumed, because this tree had some age that the roots would be near the surface. I was wrong, the roots started about 6cm below the surface. The tree must have been re-potted shortly before I got it. This just means that it will take a little longer to grow out the canopy to match the trunk. Here is what I have so far.
