Kariong Flora Fest

Post by reddoggy »

I have heard thru the grapevine that the Florafest in September has been cancelled, does anyone know for sure and why. I think the Central Coast Club had an exhibition there in previous years so someone up there might know. :?: :lost:

I hope it hasn't. I've been going every year since it started - one of the highlights of the gardening year. Nothing was mentioned in the last Central Coast newsletter.

I was in Sydney recently for work and decided to attend a garden club meeting where they announced that the Flora Festival on the Central Coast has been cancelled this year due to lack of sponsorship. It all comes back to money. I have heard that it was one of the best garden shows in town. Sad but true Reddoggy!

Thanks fireworks, yes I was at Mingara Orchid show yesterday and was told exactly what you have said, yes it is sad because you are right it was one of the best garden shows in Aussie and all the economists reckon the country is booming, what a load of crap, just propaganda. :shake:
