Hi

Have been catching up on emails after a busy few weeks.
Finally got around to looking up some of the "winners" from the US Nation Bonsai Exhibition (care of BonsaiBark newsletter)

Would love to hear peoples thoughts on:

- Ho Yoku Award for the Finest Western Display. Japanese Maple by Joseph Noga of Winterville, North Carolina. (3rd Picture down on following link)

That maple is kind of cute but the palmatum exhibited by Suthin is amazing, I have seen some of his work on IBC and think his trees must be some of the best outside Japan.

The hanging basket maple is certainly different. A lot of thought in how to display it. That must have kept him up a few nights thinking. I agree with Craig, what a magnificent Palmatum.

It looked like it was a magnificent Exhibition, from the trees I saw on the Bill V link too.

The maple is great. The JBP looks pretty ordinary to me, someone who does not grow them

the Ho Yoku maple is truly fascinating.
