Syd then Craig now Pup

This tree was originally the late Syd Reeves tree, it was given to Craig for help he gave when it was needed. He was doing fine with it. Then found he needed to move it.

He asked my permission as it had come from Ruth and myself, I said I would help.

Well here it is, after some slight changes, and getting rid of some borers and some initial changes now wait for growth, and the summer for lime sulphur.

Cheers Pup

Well 8 months have past now. It was up for sale last October show. No takers so I thought I would do some work on it. This weekend was a workshop with Tony Bebb on carving.

Sorry, Oh bugger again forgot my camera. So all we have is the original pics, and what is now a better work in progress. It is now in a Lorraine Simpson pot.

Cheers Pup

It has risen in price by at least a k + freight.

I am pleased with the way it is progressing, and the pot is really a work of art in setting of our Natives.

It is a Melaleuca rhaphiophylla (swamp paperbark)

I was amazed that it it didn't sell - it's even more impressive in the flesh.

Perhaps it would be wortth while, before next auction, writing some threads on the history of the best trees ??
