It looks like you got plenty of roots so if it was me I would give it a rough style cut, ie remove anything totally unneeded & shorten the rest to a usable length keeping some green on them.

I have never had much sucess collecting casuarina, but i keep trying to get it right :palm: :crybye: :lost:

I would pot it up soon as you can but not take too much off, that can wait.
Let it recover before doing anything much to it

Here are some more pictures it has a lot of roots so :fc: it will be fine i also noticed that it had a lot of new roots growing as well gave it a good drink of seasol . Will treat it like i did with my pine i think take a little of the top an only water if needed ;)

Been looking for information on sheoaks an came across this

viewtopic.php?f=56&t=32

If this tree survives i use the first picture in the above link to work from :tu: ill start by cutting back the trunks a grow a new leader once it has recovered. Been told that where i got the tree from gets slashed late winter every year so thats a lot of growth it put on in 10 mths :o

This sheoak made it :tu: :tu: :tu: its my only native bonsai that i have going to be a large raft planting plan on letting it get nice an strong over winter then cut all trunks back really short an train new leader as they are to straight. Its showing good signs of growth now seems to like a bit more water then i sort it would but what ever works is good

This tree growing great now i want to know is it a good time to cut it right back hard leaving 5-7cm height to get a new leader to train from each trunk. Looking at a clump or raft style design :D

I snapped mine badly too, but it healed nicely. Be careful when wiring, The wire can bite in deep in a month.
