That is pretty nice. It looks like it has had a lot of character squeezed out of it. I'm interested to see where you would take it, as it still looks like it could have some growing to do, or whether you just ramify the foliage a bit more. I'd grow some more branch and trunk height to create more of a canopy. It's a good start.

The exposed roots and wandering trunk are interesting, but the trunk movement is very vertical, and then both the branches go flat, opposite each other - it seems a bit jarring to me. Would you consider cutting one side off, or the other, so the trunk continues in one line, rather than going off in opposite directions? If you're not sure, cover one side side with a piece of paper, and then the other, and see which trunk line flows best. If you're still not sure, leave it, and keep looking at it until it makes sense. The trunk is lively.

thanks for the reply's now i have a lot to think about :? i didnt like the flatness of the branches either, if i was going to remove 1 it would be the right hand branch to keep the angle of the tree moving to the left, but my initial thought was to bend the right hand branch up and make a higher apex and maybe bend the left down a little bit an when i re pot i move the tree to the right of the pot a little bit more, in my mind this seems like the right way to go can anyone see a problem with it if i went down that path??

possibilities galore---I would try to adjust the roots so that one by itself didn't look too lonely also to give a bit wider base--to address the bar branch tilt the whole tree left several degrees-- :)

Check this out Matty-J, ;)
If you were to tilt the whole tree to the left some and then work on the branches a little, you may get something like this.Good luck

Take your time, spread the roots out next potting season, find a good rock and create yourself a gorgeous root over rock. It will need to be buried for a while but the result would be worth it. Get a black coloured rock to accentuate the red berries. :tu:

Now I think this tree has some really potential thanks so much for the virt Craig!! :tu:
I think I will til the tree to the left an raise the right hand branch up an go from there
Bodhi I think the root over rock would look awesome I think once I do the bend (my wiring is very average  )
An get some nice branching happening, an my experience grows haha
Then I will attempt to add the rock :D
But I Deffinatly will post the progress of this little guy
