I am no where near experienced enough to comment, but I think that a good starting point (after removing crossing branches, branches going straight up and straight down, and long leggy branches) would be to remove the branch that forks off to the left right at the top of the tree. Just a bit of weight reduction up there. Then when you re-pot, slant it so that the new, now more defined apex (the branch at the top that forks off to the right) falls almost directly above the base of the tree (thus putting the first branch/second trunk in a better position). Develop some movement in that first branch/second trunk and do an all over prune to remove anything that doesn't fit the picture you should now have in your head. I would love to do a sketch but damn I'm bad at drawing haha.
Currently it looks like a great tree, just needs some neatening up and some corrections in a few places.

and good luck with however you choose to style it.
