Japanese Larch - looks familiar ??

does anyone recognize this.. hint hint "Japanese Larch is a Beautiful Thing"
Correct me if Im wrong however this is the only conifer that sheds it's leaves.. umm err needles in winter?
.. well at least the ones that I know of any how.
Looks familiar?
I saw the fall colour which was "Magnifico" and now it's blooming with bella new lime needles
Soon summer will be here and she'll be peakin! hell yea and thank you

You can any of the Taxodiums to the list. (Swamp Cypress)

There a beautiful species, shame we dont yet have any real old material with these guys yet. Watch them in summer especially if you dont live up in the hills like olinda/ dandelong area. One day last year one of mine got fried but it did recover over a 6 month period. If its gonna be hot for consectitive days think about moving it to dapled light and they love a drink in summer.

Antonio I thought it may have been you under your alias, just wasn't entirely sure for some reason so thought I'd "test the water.. or should i say test the specimen"

You are not far wrong. I can only list 9 conifer species that are deciduous. 3 of them are larches - Larix kaempferi (Japanese Larch), Larix decidua (European Larch), Larix laracina (?) Hackimoto has already mentioned the Taxodioum species - Taxodium distichum (Swamp cypress), Taxodium ascendens (pond cypress), Taxodium mucronatum (montuzema cypress) is deciduous in cold areas,
Then there is Glyptostrobus pensillis (Chinese Swamp Cypress).
Metasequoia glyptostrobiodes (Dawn Redwood) is also a deciduous conifer and, believe it or not
Gingko biloba - though it appears to have broad leaves is actually a conifer and it loses its leaves too.
