Nice stands, nice pile of stones too....

Hi Craig, they look nice but, are they glass If so you will get a lot of reflected and rising heat which is great in Winter but could cook your roots in Summer. Might have to come up with a solution

i love the idea of the stands but i would be scared of 1 rock to many from lawn mower hitting them and they shatter, besides the mess of the glass on the grass
your tree will suffer damage aswell when it hits the deck not nice but i give you 10/10 for idea

Thanks Marcela still winter here , I am starting to look forward to spring. The daffodils have just poked their heads out of the ground (they tend to flower at the end of September up here.)

Gday Bohdi I don't get enough sun to worry about it here . It's actually hard for me to build up soil temperature.
G'day Dean hope your back is getting better,I was at the chiro today (to many stones). The glass is that toughened stuff i haven't broken one yet. My girlfriend collects glass stuff and we have it scattered around the garden I've never broken it with the lawnmower yet (touch wood). Mountain breezes are another story though it can get quite windy here and than that can cause problems (gotta love nature .)

Tried Glueing them on the posts to stop them falling or blowing off?

Thanks Ken I I don't know if you've ever skied in Thredbo on a windy day if you have you would understand what I mean when I say it would have to be a strong glue. .i prefer to put anything thats not nailed down out of harms way . This hobby can be extreme sport.

Hi Ken the tree is a young larch, it definitely looks better with snow on it.

Quite pleased with this one . It's part of my new rose arbor. The roses have a bit of growing to do yet .

I don't know if this one will withstand a branch drop like your big outdoor table did earlier this year. Fingers crossed it keeps clear or I fear the Bonsai my go flying across your yard haha.

Either way looks great, I hope you will be making more to place around it at other levels?
