Hi all please offer opinions on the following tree...

Also would be keen to know if anyone has any advise on the best way to get pines to fill out quicker... But also any tips to ensure older trees stay healthy after an intense restyle..

Cheers..

Unfortunately I don't think the photos do the tree justice..

Quite leggy, but has some good character.

Your in Melbourne right?

To get it to fill out leave all the growing tips (buds) and fertilise often. Use fish emulsion each week for three weeks, and then miracle-gro the fourth (repeat) and let it grow all spring.

Around Early Dec until Christmas decandle (being large it could be done earlier).

Thanks for the tips... Will give it a go... The biggest issue I have is that the wire was left for to long on this tree and it has literally calloused over... I tried to get as much out as I could but the rest is there to stay I fear..

I wouldn't be too stressed about the wire, if it''ll damage the tree getting it out just leave it. It will EVENTUALLY grow out and the rough bark will cover it and you probably wont see it. You may get some unsightly swelling though.
