2013 Bonsai Conventions in China

Some of my bonsai friends are talking about visiting 'the' bonsai convention in China, which is going to be really something according to reports, so I did some browsing to find out more details. Consequently I discovered that there is not one, but there are two conventions in China in 2013.
There is the BCI Convention in Yangzhou in April, and the WBFF one in Jintan in September.
See http://www.bonsai2013.org/index1.html for the BCI and http://www.wbff-2013.org/indexaction.action for the World Bonsai Friendship Federation. Geez, why couldn't they combine the two, when it's so difficult to decide which of them to choose??
A bonus of the browsing came with the WBFF site, where I found a series of stunning penjing, plus an article on how to create them, plus another one on the principles that govern the art.
See: ...
It seems that the WBFF Convention is entirely devoted to penjing.
The BCI event has a great array of international bonsai artists, including Lindsay Bebb from Australia
