It's a thundery morning in old Melbourne town which puts me in the mood for a little bit of fun in the flowering and fruiting forum.

You got it, IT"S TIME FOR 'NAME THAT FLOWER'............With your host, that charming guy with the polished teeth and the pin stripe suit :hooray:
No wait, it's just me in jeans and a Tshirt :palm:

At least the flower is something to look at.

Clues.

Grows at around the 2900-3700 metres ASL on ledges and ravines.
Flowers fade to light pink-white a few days after opening.

Hello Damian, my guess is Kozan ( brilliant Mountain)

a very pale pink to of white Variable and prone to sporting different colours.

Reading between the lines I would say that it is a species Rhodo.and not a cultivar. So forget the cultivar names. :reading:

Ok, the plant in question is.......Drum roll...........Rhododendron pemakoense.
