I note that in most places the seasons are well ahead of mine. I still have new trees leafing out each week and flowering species still just opening.
These pictures taken 22-9-12.
Japanese maples in order from smaller to larger And it is even flowering season here too The Chinese elms are leafing out as well. this time from larger to smaller. Also excited that a wisteria will finally flower this year First flower of the first raceme opened yesterday but I will wait until it is a bit more advanced before posting.

My favourite is the "free and wild" one in the 4th photo.
How about some of yoour root-over-rock trees? Mine (grown by you) has been in leaf for over a week.

Nice show Neal, the fourth palmatum is a lesson in taper and ramification. You've made it look natural, and easy. Lovely tree.
