A lot of people are keep to attempt Jow's posted technique with twisted junipers.
As it seems to be difficult to get the stock needed right now, I have started emailing out Whlesale nurseries. However if someone knows where we can grab such cuttings please post here.
I was informed of someone in Queensland who where selling for 20 cents each min buy of 50, but sadly their stock has been completely washed away.

I sent about 90 emails out last night, only 32 back. out of those only one with better news than "we dont stock this species"

I did find someone who does maple bare rooted seedlings. http://corellanurseries.com.au/pages/ba ... lings.aspx

while at high school (only just finished last yr) i worked at a wholesale plant nursery for like four yrs. before i left my boss who happily supported my love of bonsai and had a few very neglected large bonsai started hundreds of shimpaku x media cuttings and i watched them grow thinking of getting some stock from him once they were a bit larger. which he would probably have happily given me for free as he often did being a very nice man. i am planning on dropping in soon to see if there are any left. i only finished working there a few months back due to a new job and there were heeps when i left so im keeping my fingers crossed and keep you guys all posted.
