Just in case dates aren't really good with people ... NEXT WEEKEND is our show.

Amazing how much work goes into setting up ... it really is a sound reflection of the energies of many members of The SA Bonsai Society. :imo:

There will be a few 'artistic' surprises this year that should give our show a slightly different feel from previous years.

Yes ... same weekend as BSV...

From time to time our shows are not on the same weekend. Perhaps then, you might be able to make the drive over?

There's plenty of good digging on the drive between Melbourne and Adelaide ... I spotted a number of plums and other 'weed trees' on the drive over.

Lots of people have put in a bucket load of work towards this show. A heap of thinking and preparation on different bonsai .... and a different 'view'. :hooray:

Am sure there will be plenty available on the trading table ... I will give an update tomorrow when I gave a better idea if what's on offer! :fc:

I've not long arrived home from 'bump in' for our show this weekend! :aussie:

:imo: ... have to say I think that it is looking pretty good.

There's heaps of work that has gone into some different staging for our club. 'Framed' bonsai have come up a real treat, and with just a few scattered throughout the exhibition, I think they reinforce the concept of 'less is more'.

Looking forward to sharing the judging of our Novice Competition :hooray: in the morning ... an encouragement award for our Novice Members, sponsored by KEWCO (a South Australian Bathroom Company).

   We have a great variety of raffle prizes, with support from Brunnings, Cobb and Co Horticultural Suppliers, Neutrog, Spirit of Bonsai, Bonsai Tree Garden, Walkerville Chinese Restaurant, and members of The SA Bonsai Society.

Be sure to bring your cash ... there's a good variety of bonsai, stock plants and other items on the trading table.

Show opens at 10am ... looking forward to seeing locals and anyone who has managed to coordinate a visit to Adelaide this weekend. :tu: :tu: :tu:

Dont forget this is on today!!!

Unfortunately I am working today, but managed a sneak peak last night and the quality of trees on display is top notch!! Well worth a look, and a bargain for $3 entry!!

Don't miss the opportunity to buy some great stock either as otherwise you will have to wait until next year.

Why not head over to our facebook page and like that whilst your there?? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bonsai-S ... ts&fref=ts

A steady day with many visitors making their way to The Goodwood Community Centre. :aussie:

There were plenty of demonstrations, including an Ikebana Demonstration ... on again on Sunday at 2pm.

A positive response from so many visitors ... it really affirms all the efforts our members have gone to in putting this show together.

I am trying to attach a 'teaser' of photos for those of you not able to have made it along!
