[WANTED] Bonsai Fertiliser Pots/cages?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone knows where to buy these from or if any members have a couple of dozen bonsai fertiliser pots/cages. These are the small brown cages that hold slow release fertiliser, rather than getting the stuff all over the pot.

Thanks again :tu2:

Hi,

For me the benefits are that you can use a granular fertilizer (like Magamp) and then remove it easily when you no longer want to provide those nutrients to the tree, or want to put the tree on display. If you use organic cake fertilizers it stops the sparrows picking it to bits. It is also a good way of testing a new top-application solid fertilizer when you don't know if it will be good or bad for your tree. You can purchase them from a number of horticultural suppliers but might have to buy big quantities.

I use these to hold my home made fert cakes http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bonsai-Tools ... 850wt_1163
I have found them to be good considering the climate we have here ;lots of UV

Cheers
