Bonsai Northwest AUCTION NIGHT will be held on the 12 November 2012. This is a great opportunity to buy bonsai related items at very cheap prices as these are all items that belong to club members. This is open to the PUBLIC so all are welcome.

Please bring CASH only to purchase items

This tiny leafed Japanese maple is a great example of an auction item that had a very low reserve and saw a fierce battle between bidders last time. It was a bought for a steal!!!

This is a lot of fun as well and a very entertaining night.

Meeting starts at 8pm, but you could get there 15 mins early to get a look and plan what to bid for

Sounds interesting. I will try and come along.

Any idea of what can be expected? Pots, wire, tools, trainers or coffee and tea?

Oddly, I might have people new to the art of bonsai who might enthusiastically want to come along. Do you think this would be appropriate, or relevant?

There is usually quite an assortment of things to buy but all bonsai related. Trees at different stages of development make up the majority of the items but boxes of pots usually come in and get a lot of attention. Honestly, I have no idea what will be turning up. Just come along and enjoy.

Auction start time would be around 8pm, but be early to look through the items. It will be with a proper auctioneer doing the auctioning. If we have too many items to auction then some things might go to a silent auction section.

PLUS.... I have arranged for CREDIT CARD facilities!!! however we have pass on the extra fee charges to the users which will be 3%.

The maple went for around $250. If you see it, you will be amazed at the size of the leaves. I have never seen a Japanese Maple even close to that size foliage.

Great opportunity for new people too so they can usually pick up bonsai stock for bargain basement prices. I am inviting some of my newbie friends to come as well who love bonsai.

Thanks. I've not been to a bonsai auction, so I appreciate the prospective. Maybe I will go to a bonsai auction soon.
