My Wisteria has finally flowered. It held off because of the cold snap in the Central highlands. Worth the wait though.

Hi Bodhidharma
I was always pleased when mine flowered a couple of weeks after everyone else's
It means that when on display they are the only ones.
I believe they are Japanese varieties which flower late, my purple one finished a week ago and my white one is in its last day or two.
Yours is quite special I like it very much!
I am considering an air layer, have you ever tried on a wisteria?

may i ask some questions of a fellow cold-climate wisteria keeper: when did you cut it back last season? and, how are you managing the exposed heart wood?

Very nice Bodhi, bet you were glad to see those buds pop after repotting. :tu: and has the repotting had any effect on the abundance of flowers, or flower:leaf ratio this year?

Cheers,
Ryan

:lost: I have never tried Gerard. I would imagine it would layer really easily as they put out roots very readily.

Hi Ryan, yes, less flowers and more leaf. I was surprised that it flowered at all. Next year though :fc:
