Some day yes Bodhi. At present if I started shaping we would end up with a Mame
Which may not be so bad if as you said 'the flower size suited'.
This one is a stock plant which I hope to produce trainers from for ravening Satsuki fans.
Size this one would suit would be 150mm upwards or as this one is in outline at least, semi cascade.

Definitely a beauty but not so sure its Kairaku ???? I thought that was a purple sokojiro type flower. tried a quick google but no images came up. I have some kairaku cuttings with buds on, will see how they look when they open. Beautiful flower though!! and healthy looking tree

and yes interesting 'rinpu' leaves.
