The Satsuki, Kairaku at its best.
Difficult to grow, this one is now at its best, thought it would be selfish not to share :)

Thanks Damien, nice to share. Is the plan for it to be Bonsai :?: If so it will have to be large to carry the flower size. Beautiful, thanks.

Some day yes Bodhi. At present if I started shaping we would end up with a Mame
Which may not be so bad if as you said 'the flower size suited'.
This one is a stock plant which I hope to produce trainers from :fc: for ravening Satsuki fans.
Size this one would suit :imo: would be 150mm upwards or as this one is in outline at least, semi cascade.

Hey Mr B

Definitely a beauty but not so sure its Kairaku ???? I thought that was a purple sokojiro type flower. tried a quick google but no images came up. I have some kairaku cuttings with buds on, will see how they look when they open. Beautiful flower though!! and healthy looking tree :)

and yes interesting 'rinpu' leaves.

Nice one Neil.
Thanks for the poke in the ribs.
That's the last time I trust a nursery label.
After some research :reading: Tsuki no Shimo (frosty moon) it is :hooray:
I'm glad that I posted that pic.

Here are some from this morning
