I've never tried JWP seed, but I've had the greatest success with JBP seed when I have used a VERY loose soil.

I have used 50% 1mm Akadama & 50% 1mm pumice with great success, but remove all fines/dust!

I planted 100 jwp seeds in the ground ,just before winter, into a potting mix blend, I had 2 seeds sprout,i seedling got eaten, i now have 1 jwp seedling for my effort, might dig the remaining seeds out or leave them in for another season, i think jwp is much harder than jbp :lost: , i also tried stratification(in the fridge),no success, might be bad seeds, better luck next year .. :fc:

Damian,

Hate to point you to a different forum mate, but get yourself an account on IBC and check out the posts from Giangus. He seems to really know his stuff. Lots of photos and the health of his seedlings is obvious! :tu:
