Above is the standard flower for this variety.
Here is a sport of the same variety.
It will be tagged and watched for now to see what happens.

The sport.
It's not awesome but I have not seen it before on any of this variety since I have grown them.

I guess I have asked for that with some of my previous posts
Correct guess Matt, you have won a trip to the destination of your choice, maybe the kitchen

perhaps the bathroom

maybe the outdoors is more your style

Lovely flower Damien
It will be interesting to see if all the subsequent flowers exhibit the same features.

All in good fun & thankfully in this current mood you can still take it as such..
Now to the serious side of things & a new sport is always awesome. Now to propagate & make sure that it carries across into the progeny & isnt just a freak single bloom

Hmmm, stable sports are not always a definite with Satsuki.
I have seen some crackers (literally) before but they were not stable.
Oops, the variety is Gunpo pink.
The sport has less of a ruffled margin and is around half the size (30mm across) of the standard flower which could make it a little more suitable for hot conditions.
