Hi all, I started this little one from a 12 " nursery stock around 8 weeks ago. And will be continuing a progress series on it through the coming growing season.







The times of the photos go at 1 week, 3weeks, 5 weeks and then 8 weeks.

It's showing some good shape to follow already and none of the new growth is even hardened off yet, so it's going to be fun to play with.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge but can any potted plant be a bonsai? Or is this just another non-bonsai project of yours.. Haha

I'm also liking the Christmas tree in the background!

Azaleas actually make fantastic bonsai, so this is most defiantly a bonsai project as apposed to an experiment.

As for whether you can bonsai anything? I am not going to answer that one as I too am very new to the art. IMO I think that any plant can be grown in a pot, as to whether they are all eligible for bonsai, I will leave that to the more experienced of us.
