Can you help me out please and explain some words often used in bonsai. I'm VERY new to the bonsai world (just over a month) and im still not up to scratch with a lot of words used in the bonsai world. If you could tell me some and explain them it would be great.
Thanks.

a couple to start with (and correct my spelling if wrong crew)
nebari - the root structure you can see
yamadori - a tree collected from the wild
shohin - a bonsai under 21cm
badass - an awesome tree
taper - the way the thickness of the tree's trunk/major branches moves from bottom to top
reverse taper - ... try not to do that...

Jme, The wikik has a Glossary listing an explaining lots of bonsai terms. Click on Wiki above right or on the rolling banner above then on the main page click 'bonsai gossary' (in blue) to go to that page.
