I dug this wild olive out about 2 years ago. The dead wood was like thaty when I collected it. After just over a year it started showing signs of life again. I plan to repot this winter, but would like some feedback or suggestions on how to style the tree.

Regards,

Phil

Thanks for the feedback guys! Is it best to just let it grow first for a year or so without pruning it? How should I proceed with this?

I am posting some more pics from different angles. Not sure what I should use as the front. :lost: I understand that I should let it grow for now, but would still like to get an idea of where to go to with this stump...
Some input would be greatly appreciated!

There is certainly no shortage of fronts here Phil. For me the apex remains the same regardless of front. It creates the best movement and taper. However i think i still prefer the original front, it has all the right elements going on for me. Good spread at the base with live vein either side, great deawood feature as the focal point with live tissue either side of it to build branches. Nice movement and taper with a great height to trunk width ratio !!! :tu:

Totally agree, this will be a great tree with a stunning trunk line. All it needs is lots of food an patience. You are 5-10 years off with this tree but it will be well worth the effort.
