Erin Pots

Post by jezz_39 »

Hi all
I recently purchased some pots from Vic Harris of Erin Bonsai and thought I'd show them off to the good people of Ausbonsai.
They are quality handmade pieces of art, and I look forward to getting some trees into them. Mr Harris was very easy to deal with and communication was prompt. Can also vouch for the careful packaging ensuring no breakages :tu:

I've spoken to Vic and he has kindly allowed me to spread the word of his current deal to those in Australia. As with his current offer of no postage charge to US and European customers who purchase 5 or more pots, the offer has generously been to extended to Aussie customers.
This is a limited offer for this year, and will only continue if there are enough purchases.

Check out the online catalogue HERE and show your support

Cheers,
Jeremy

Just edited the pics to include some very rough dimensions, Ryan.
Ive always drooled over Erin's Pots when looking at Harry Harringtons images and thought it was about time I got a few nice ones. Now the challenge lies in filling them with the right trees :fc:

Cool pots.

I've been thinking of investing in some of these for quite a while now..
You may have just pushed me over the edge!
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Thanks Jezz, you got some good sizes there! I find it hard to fill good pots with trees that I can deem worthy, handmade pots are such artworks unto themselves - some don't even make it outside and instead occupy a bookshelf in the lounge room :palm:

Now the word is out, I'm sure if people don't have the finances to buy 5 or more pots at a time, perhaps a few people would decide to get together for a group buy.

I am really liking the last pot, its quite bold with its dark colour and interesting textures. I originally thought a big group of Casuarina Torulosa might suit, now im starting to think a big gnarly Cork Bark Elm would look right at home on my benches. I'm holidaying in NSW next week and will be making my way down to Sydney for a look around the nurseries. Never know what may come home with me  :palm:

Group buy. Great idea. They will stop it though.

Well "we" will stop a posted group buy Jason. Nothing to stop you organising to buy with other people by PM or email

Thanks for the clarification Tony, my wires were crossed earlier this year because I ended up sending a dozen or so PMs to people who responded telling them "no can do".

PM sent.

I'd just like to add my :2c: and say that I find that Erin glazes and textures are sublime and that I'm going to have to start keeping some trees for myself so I can plant them in such lovely works of art.

Cheers,
Mojo
