Hi Meagi , can't see any reason why they wont work .Thread grafting is the easiest and simplest method to get a branch in the required position .With healthy grafting stock there is plenty of growing season left . Plenty of regular feeding and they will definitely produce the goods . Not letting the grass grow under your feet that's for sure .

Cheers Alpine

That doesn't look too bad, Meagi.

At any rate I guarantee they will turn out more successful than my first Trident TGs.
I took the word thread too literally and used a bit of mouth moisture (that's saliva for the scientific types out there) to help get a nice neat point as one would with a needle and thread. It went through the hole like a charm and I was very pleased with myself, so I did 20 or so more. It was only when I saw the terminals blackened off and crispy a few days later that it finally dawned on me that Mojo spit is just a wee bit acidic :palm: and I was at the time what Jeremy Clarkson would call "well...a bit of a cock".

Cheers,
Mojo
