Howdy all,

I thought I would share my Chinese elm with you all to see what everyone thought about it, and also get some advice on how I can improve it too.
To date, it has only been silhouette pruned once in the three months of ownership. It also had a very high soil line that I have been ever ever ever so slowly been exposing to see what sort of nebari it had and to see if I would need to root graft or not. In my personal opinion I think that the nebari are in really good shape with a good spread in all directions, so hopefully it will mature in a good direction and start looking good in the coming seasons.

I think pic 4 looks like a good front. Perhaps turned a few more degrees clockwise so that the smaller trunk is coming a little more from behind?
Maybe also consider lowering the height of the main trunk by a few branches too.
Be sure to prune back some of the longer roots on the nebari so that they fork/branch closer to the trunk...when the time is right at a future repot.
But it is hard to tell from the pics, and there is no rush.

Looks pretty good mate! Only a minor qualm though, the second trunk looks almost as thick as the main trunk, just something to keep in mind when styling and balancing the tree.
