satsuki "kimpai"

hi all , decided to get myself a bday present , what better than a new tree lol
i got a simillar satsuki for the shohin comp as seen in the pics, it also started out that big :O , i will be doing the same to this 1
with alot of cuttings, maybe not push it as hard as in the comp but i would like another fat shohin.

Look forward to seeing how this one goes.
Keep me posted on the detail as I have no idea how to work with Azaleas.
They just confuse me.
Mine are just growing until I figure them out!

well i finally got this 1 to flower, i havent chopped it yet wanted to see the flowers,
and the other 1 died

That's a really unusual flower - I like it
I presume it was the "little fella" which died, that's a pity. Do you still pot them in pure Kanuma?
