Hi Guys

Ive had this Juniper for a couple of years, I started it from nursery stock with standard bonsai soil I think (so many going around).

Ive checked for mites (shaken tree on piece of paper), but Im wanting to know how to get vigor back into it and why is there brown and dead looking dead patches? hopefully the pictures tell the story.

p.s. I have not repotted it in about 18 months

Thanks Guys

Hi,
bit hard without more info but answer yourself these questions:-
Is it kept outside in at least a morning sun position
Have a look under the pot at the drainage holes, this is a good indication of what's happening. If they are clagged up, clear them. Now look to see what's covering the drainage holes. If it is insect gauze or shadecloth, this is your problem.

From the photos I suspect the tree is staying too wet and I suspect this is because the water is not draining freely enough.
The holes should be covered with a 2-3mm plastic gauze. Anything smaller clogs up and prevents adequate drainage
GOOD LUCK and hope this helps
cheers
